Help This Christmas...
What could be more heartbreaking this winter than a homeless dog or a lonely kitty? Unfortunately this is the situation that a lot of pets are going to be finding themselves in this winter. If someone doesn't help them...
Hornchurch Animal Rescue and Rehoming are a non - profitable charity that do their very best to help as many animals; big or small, through the busiest time of the year.
Not only would all of us here at WAT like to remind you - a pet is for life not just for a surprise on Christmas morning. (As lovely as that is if you are serious!) But also that you can HELP these animals.
We all shop online and even more so at this time of the year don't we? So why not raise money at the sametime?? The BEST part of this idea is - it's not even your own money that you will be donating to the charity! It will be the company that you are shopping from that will be donating a % of what you spend to them! PERFECT.
All you need to do is register~free~ at http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/Register/?char=34073 making sure you select 'Hornchurch Animal Rescue and Rehoming' as your cause! Then... just go ahead and shop! Follow the links to whichever website you need to buy your stuff
(you're obvs still shopping direct with your fav stores online but by using the link on easyfundraising it just makes sure they donate from your purchase peeps!)
I know first hand the fantastic and personal work that this charity does as my own little furry was a rescue.
Daisy my terrier was found cold, hungry, scared and almost bald on the streets two Christmas's ago, she was found by a local dog pound, kept for a limited amount of time before she became next in line to be put to sleep for no reason other than she had no-one to love her. Luckily Daisy (who had no name at the time, obviously) was taken away from there and that's when I adopted her. Now writing this blog with her snoring next to me, looking like a completely different dog (that is her in the picture above believe it or not!) I couldn't imagine life without her!!!
So, PLEASE help donate or maybe even consider (seriously) giving a forever home to a lonely animal this Christmas.
